The Golden Rule worked then, and it works perfectly now. The Declaration of Independence, the Emancipation Proclamation, the Bill of Rights, the U.S. Constitution. These really are pillars of truth and goodwill and sense and decency and reason that I was raised on and disciplined to - there's the key word, I was disciplined to respect and adhere to back when I was growing up, since birth back in 1948.
