I received information on Michael Crook who runs the website mentioned. He previously had another website called CATT (Citizens Against The Troops) and he prvious hosting company shut it down on him. Below is a portion of the email I got throught the Vets Mailing List.

This email/fax is to report that the website hosted by “theplanet” located at www.foresakethetroops.info with the IP address of 70.85.56.166 is extremely offensive to Active Military members, their families and to all Veterans who have served their country with honor and pride.

According to The Planets acceptable use policy located at http://www.t.heplanet.com/legal/aup.html under Internet Etiquette it states. “The Customer is not permitted to post any material that is illegal, libelous, and tortuous, indecently depicts children or is likely to result in retaliation against Company by offended users.

While although the information placed on www.forsakethetroops.info may be perfectly legal, I find it extremely offensive and I am retaliating against your company, www.t.heplanet.com for allowing the content of www.forsakethetroops.info to exist. What is even more appalling is that The Planet allows this content while our nations finest are currently at war

It appears that doing a whois look up does not provide any information regarding who maintains the website www.forsakethetroops.info. Therefore since the IP address belongs to The Planet, it is assumed that the company is responsible for the offensive content of the aforementioned website to include the content of the following link www.forsakethetroops.info/marine.html

The information at http://www.forsakethetroops.info/ is information we should know. Admitedly the writer is angry and upset but what can people expect when the election is stolen from them to proceed with an illegal war.

Why is it ok for *you* to excercise *your* free speech to criticise what *he* does, but not ok for *him* to excercise *his* right?

Free speech either works *all* ways, or it doesn't work at all. That is, after all, what the US military is supposed to fight for - or have they dropped the oath soldiers take to protect the Constitution [you know, that little thing that guarantees freedom of expression]?

listen, Crook is a hyprocrite... he himself censors us service members when we wanna give him a piece of our own mind. What can you expect when we had an illegal president send troops into an illegal war. Congress was never asked to 'declare war', so it's illegal. We were also lied to about the reasons for going to war. We have George Bush junior who never served a day in his life in active combat and served in the national guard back in the Vietnam days when EVERONE knew that guard duty was the rich man's way of DODGING THE DRAFT. Bushie's rich papa enabled him to dodge the draft to Vietnam. Of course now, you have millions of people very upset with Bush and the military.
If you want to blame someone, the blame lies solely at W's feet.
Fighting some stupid nonsense war over in Iraq, in no way protects or garauntees my rights of free speech or any other freedom expressed in the U.S. Constitution. Why the hell aren't we fighting all the other horrendous dictatotors in the world???

He even wrote about his "military experience" and how he regrets his decision not to appeal when they booted his rear for fraud. Can't blame Bush for a guy who hates the troops. Yes, we all know you are still bitter about losing the election, but just for a moment, let's pretend you're adults. When's the last time You had the responsibility of leading a country? I think this website business is as offensive to my American (not to mention HUMAN) sensibilities as anyone else does.This Crook guy is an insult to America not to mention a very sad mixed up human being. I realize that those to whom I addressed those comments didn't get my point, so I'll explain: We can disagree on issues and still be neighborly , patriotic Americans. If all one can do to support one's position is to smear the landscape with perjorative opinions of one's opponents, I don't hold out much hope for their point of view. If that's the best they can do, they have my sympathy. Americans are generally smarter than that, last fall's elections notwithstanding. You know who you are and so does America. Nevertheless I wish you peace because you're my neighbor. Oops- sorry I said the "p" word. I'll go wash my liberal mouth out with soap now. Shame.
