An Old Texas Farmer's Advice:

A friend in one of my on line groups sent me this and on the whole it sounded like sage advice, but I couldn't resist putting my .02 worth in a couple times....

* Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight
And bull-strong.

*Keep skunks and bankers at a
Distance.

*Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.

* A bumble bee is considerably faster than a
John Deere tractor.

* Words that soak into your ears are whispered...not yelled.

* Meanness don't jes' happen overnight.

* Forgive your enemies. It messes up their heads.

* Do not corner something that you know is meaner Than you.

* It don't take a very big person to carry a
Grudge.

* You cannot unsay a cruel word.

* Every path has a few puddles.

* When you wallow with pigs Democrats, expect to get dirty. (updated, D)

* The best sermons are lived, not preached.

* Most of the stuff people worry about ain't Never gonna happen anyway.

* Don't judge folks by their relatives. ( boy, do I say AMEN to this one! D)

* Remember that silence is sometimes the best
Answer.

* Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get
Older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.

* Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't Bothering you none.

* Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a Rain dance.

* If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.

* Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.

* The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever
Have to deal with, watches you from The mirror every mornin'.

* Always drink upstream from the herd.

* Good judgment comes from experience, and a
Lotta that comes from bad judgment. (unless you subscribe to the Democratic theory that Socialism has just never been "implemented correctly", in which case all your experience has taught you nothing)

* Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot
Easier than puttin' it back in.

* If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some
Influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.

* Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
Speak kindly.

-- Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you. ( I'm too old and too sick to fight, that's why I carry a .357)

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

I leave a response each time I like a article on a blog or if I have something to valuable to contribute to the conversation. It is a result of the sincerness communicated inside the article I read. And on this post Delftsman: An Old Texas Farmer's Advice:. I was moved enough to create a comment :-P I do have 2 questions for you if it's allright. Is it simply me or do some of these responses look as if they are coming from brain dead people? :-P And, if you are posting at additional sites, I would like to keep up with you. Could you make a list all of all your shared sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
