ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

We are having a national discussion in this country today about the high numbers of people illegally immigrating into our country and the effect they are having.

The majority party politicians seem to be saying that it's just too difficult to deport all of these people (funny that most illegals would vote that party if made legal, isn't it?). They throw their hands up and blather fine sounding phrases like "pursuing the American dream" and "we are a nation of immigrants", and end up ignoring, or even exacerbating the problem with their policies.

Too bad we don't teach history in our public schools or the chillruns might learn some disturbing facts....

PhotobucketBack during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work..

PhotobucketHarry Truman deported over two million Illegals after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans.

PhotobucketAnd then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexican Nationals! The program was called 'Operation Wetback'. It was done so WWII and Korean Veterans would have a better chance at jobs. It took 2 Years, but. they. deported. them!

Now...if they could deport the illegals back then - they could sure do it
today!!

lf you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation
Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself.

The PC crowd would have you believe that speaking out against the illegals is somehow only based in racism or some other form of bigotry and we should welcome these people in with open arms (and wallets too, it seems).

Some politicians (need I mention just what Party they belong to?) are writing bills that give these people access to our already overburdened Welfare, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid programs, and advocating streamlining procedures for illegals to obtaining citizenship....in the (somewhat demonstrably true) belief that these new voters will ensure their political positions as everlasting sinecures.

Am I a racist to want new immigrants to this great nation to follow the laws of this country? Am I a racist to expect new immigrants to at least try to learn English? Am I a bigot because I feel that it is every immigrant's duty to try to assimilate into his new country and not try to force it to accommodate his old culture as his mainstay of living?

Understand me, I am NOT anti-immigrant, I AM an immigrant myself, in case you didn't read the header of this Blog. I am anti- ILLEGAL-immigrant.
If you can't follow the same rules my family did to gain entry/citizenship into this country, you have no business being here. PERIOD. And don't give me the bleeding heart sob story that "they are too poor/disadvantaged/etc., etc." to be able to follow the immigration laws. Or that we must support these new ILLEGAL aliens with governmental programs/assistance.

My father came here in 1957 with $60 in his pocket, along with a wife and two young children to support, and speaking only three words of English. Within three months of arriving at Ellis Island, he had moved halfway across the country, found a job, rented a home, and was able to communicate in English enough to be understood, if not being as yet fluent. He did have some help in the form of sponsorship from the Catholic Relief Society in establishing himself, but at no time did he ever receive ANY assistance from the government, either Federal or State. In the intervening 52 years between then and now, he and my mother managed to raise six children to be good, contributing members of society. None of us has ever been arrested for committing a crime, or been dependent on the welfare system. Three of us joined and served at least one hitch in this country's armed services (one became a career NCO in the Army, now retired). We all graduated high school and three of us went on to get higher education and/or training.

I myself have followed four major career paths in the time I've been a Citizen here - as a soldier in the Army, LEO, Paramedic, and as a long distance truck driver.

The grandchildren have carried us on even further, two are career military (Army and Marines) Three have bachelor's degrees from good colleges (my own eldest daughter has a degree from Smith College, and is currently considering getting her law degree from IU) One of her cousins is a teacher working on her Masters degree.

If our family can do it, any family can. It takes hard work, discipline, and a goal to be the best Citizen that one can be. You have to give up some of the old to fit into the new environs; if you expect America to cater to your old culture you will (and SHOULD) be disappointed. Take pride in your heritage, by all means, but don't try to live as you did in your old culture. America, when it works at it's best, is a MELTING POT (something the PC multiculturalists seem to have forgotten), blending all the contributing cultures into something new and different; something greater than the sum of it's parts, a unique American culture that all can share.

We need to reassert that American culture and stop subjugating it to the new cultures coming in and demanding equality with it. We need to stop heeding the PC culture "experts" and ivory tower intellectuals that would place all cultures on an equal footing with our own. There IS none equal to our own, or we wouldn't have the number of people we have from all around the world coming here and trying to join it. It's time we celebrate it and strengthen it and stop trying to Balkanize it down into component pieces.

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes....For the moment, 10 12 15 million (and climbing) Illegal Aliens are depending on you!

Currently it appears like Movable Type is the top blogging platform out there right now. (from what I've read) Is that what you're using on your blog?

Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard work due to no data backup. Do you have any solutions to prevent hackers?

Posted by: imdb robocop at November 2, 2011 09:45 PM

Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic however , I'd figured I'd ask. Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest writing a blog post or vice-versa? My website discusses a lot of the same topics as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other. If you might be interested feel free to send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you! Fantastic blog by the way!

Woah! I'm really digging the template/theme of this blog. It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's tough to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and appearance. I must say you have done a great job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Firefox. Exceptional Blog!

Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I had written and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for beginner blog writers? I'd genuinely appreciate it.

With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My site has a lot of exclusive content I've either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any solutions to help reduce content from being stolen? I'd definitely appreciate it.

I'm not sure why but this site is loading very slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I'll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.

Please let me know if you're looking for a article author for your site. You have some really good posts and I think I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I'd really like to write some material for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please send me an email if interested. Kudos!

I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?

Hi there would you mind letting me know which webhost you're utilizing? I've loaded your blog in 3 different web browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you recommend a good hosting provider at a fair price? Kudos, I appreciate it!

Howdy would you mind sharing which blog platform you're working with? I'm planning to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find many of your post's to be just what I'm looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content for you? I wouldn't mind composing a post or elaborating on some of the subjects you write in relation to here. Again, awesome weblog!

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?
