How safe do you feel knowing there are people around legally carrying concealed guns?
That was the question posed in an MSNBC opinion poll the other day. The three choice of responses were "very safe", "In danger", and "Not sure".
MSNBC's liberal slant I'm sure they were surprised by the overwhelming response in the positive toward Concealed Carry Permits
The results so far:
80.7%
Very safe: If a crime is committed or a threat of violence made, they’ve got the means to respond.
(61,477 votes)
16.1%
In danger: These people could be trigger-happy yahoos or stumblebums whose weapon might go off by accident.
(12,247 votes)
.3%
Not sure: How would we know? Wouldn’t it depend on the state laws involved and circumstances?
(2,481 votes)
In looking through the comments section of the poll, it seems to me that most of the arguments made by the "In Danger" segment of the respondents boils down to " I am afraid of the possibility of having to defend myself from a violent crime, and I'm even MORE afraid of those people that ARE willing to do so".
Your thoughts?
Posted by Delftsman3 at March 26, 2010 06:43 PM | TrackBackLibtards are afraid to defend themselves or anyone else. That's why they want to take away all the guns except for the cops and the Army, with little thought that a cop is always there 5 minutes after you need him/her. And the Army even longer and now their hands are tied to do anything unless fired upon first.
