Insanity Revealed

Kayinmaine over at White Noise Insanity is positively gushing over the many accomplishments that her Messiah has achieved in the past week. Her byline is "Politicians…don’t piss down our backs and then tell us it’s raining!" I think Kay doesn't seem to know the difference between rain and piss...

I left a comment to the post, but knowing her proclivity to delete anything that might bring an opposing view, I'm posting my response here.

"Made health care reform the law of the land!"

Yeah, he put government in control over 1/6 of our economy; forcing citizens to buy a product from private companies, while forcing said companies to take unsustainable business risks,and forcing other companies to take huge losses to comply with the law; setting prices for services for all doctors to follow regardless of specialty (ever hear of the term"free market economy"?); assuming direct control over all student loans (and just what do student loans have to do with HC?)and the hits just keep rolling...really something to be proud of..

"Got Russia to sign a nuclear arms treaty with the United States to slash nuclear arsenals by a third!"

No, he negotiated a new treaty with Russia over nuclear weapons...like almost every other President has done since JFK, nothing is SIGNED, it still has to be ratified; and I fear that, because of the heavy-handed way that HC was passed, there is no way that this treaty will ever go anywhere anytime soon. And Russia still refuses to water down their support of Iran's nuclear aspirations, so tell me again, WHAT did he really accomplish?

"Played hardball with Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel!"

Again, NO he didn't; he publicly humiliated our staunchest ally in the Middle East. Tell me what he gained by doing so, and I'll be more than willing to rethink my opinion.

"Surprised our soldiers in Afghanistan with a visit!"

Yes, so? When President Bush surprised the troops in Iraq, you castigated him as being a coward for not conducting it in an "official" manner. Moreover his message to the troops was twofold:

1. Thanking them for a job well done to the best of their ability.

Kudos to him for that!

2. Telling them that the job was far from over and that further sacrifices would be required of them to get the job done.

Again, kudos to him for admitting reality; but doesn't that interfere with the Progressive meme that we shouldn't be engaged in this war at all? What happened to "no blood for oil" and "stop American imperialism"?

Seems to this observer that Kay sets the bar for adulation at an all time low.

UPDATE. Kay responded:

kayinmaine says:
March 30, 2010 at 6:32 PM

Awww, I see Bert M. misses George Bush’s fascism. Too bad!!! We’ve got a President now who can concentrate on more than one thing unlike George Bush! George Bush hated our troops and only considered them a pawn in his right wing oil cartel game. He wanted more nukes on the planet and loved the Israeli government (hence him starting two wars to protect her while telling Americans our soldiers were protecting our freedoms & rights, which was a bunch of bullshit!). If George could have gotten away with it, he would have had anal sex with Benjamin Netanyahu to show his appreciation for the support of his oil transaction in Iraq! George once told the media that future presidents would have to handle his mess in Iraq and Afghanistan and when the Generals on the ground over there asked for more troops in 2008 for Afghanistan, he did nothing. It was President Obama who added in the 30,000 the Generals wanted in Afghanistan WITH THE IDEA THE TROOPS WILL HAVE A WITHDRAWAL DATE. George Bush’s withdrawal date? NONE! ZIPPO! ZILCHO! As long as Georgie’s kids don’t have to serve the country, he could give a shit if yours does.
_______________________________________________________________
I responded, but it seems as though I've been blocked...

Here is my reply:

I think I wasn't clear in my comment. Perhaps I should have said: "Moreover Obama's message to the troops was twofold:" to make it clearer.

I am no great fan of President Bush,his only saving grace to me is/was he was better than the alternative at the time.
I was greatly concerned when he came up with the Patriot Act as an un-American response to a grave situation. (incidentally, your Messiah just renewed that act when it was due to "sunset"--with the exception of not continuing some of the safeguards against infringing liberties that was in the original, guess Bush isn't the only Fascist!)

Fascism? You might look up the definition again, KAY. The HC bill does demonstrate it if you want an example of what it looks like in action.

Just WHERE IS ALL THE OIL ?!? Iraq isn't even in the top five countries exporting oil to the U.S. If all your accusations were true, we should be swimming in oil by now.

When President Bush sent 20,000 troops in the "surge" of 2007, he was castigated by a certain group as a "warmonger = Hitler". The Party YOU espouse claimed that it failed before the boots even hit the ground... I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that you maintain a double standard. Adding troops to an AoO and setting a deadline for their return (telling your enemy that you will fight so long and no longer )doesn't seem like good military doctrine to me, but then again I only served as a soldier, not a politician/tactician.

I currently have three relatives engaged in theater,one of them recovering from an injury due to an IED, so the war is very personal to me. Whether or not we should have engaged in conflict is a debate that can be argued, but once we are engaged, the ONLY goal should be to win that conflict decisively as quickly as possible and then bring our troops home.

President Bush started the war to protect Israel?!? Care to show any evidence?
Israel is our staunchest ally in the Middle East. It has been in a war of survival ever since it's inception. It has shown itself willing to make great sacrifices in the goal of achieving a peace with it's neighbors, with little results from the other side. Why are you so anti-Semitic?

You Know Your in California IF

California 's Turn...
So as not to be outdone by all the redneck, hillbilly, and Texan jokes, somebody had to come up with this:

You know you're from California if:

1. Your co-worker has 8 body piercings and none are visible.

2. You make over $300,000 and still can't afford a house.

3. You take a bus and are shocked at two people carrying on a conversation in English.

4. Your child's 3rd-grade teacher has purple hair, a nose ring, and is named Flower.

5. You can't remember . . is pot illegal?

6. You've been to a baby shower that has two mothers and a sperm donor.

7. You have a very strong opinion about where your coffee beans are grown, and you can taste the difference between Sumatran and Ethiopian.

8. You can't remember . . is pot illegal?

9. A really great parking space can totally move you to tears.

10. Gas costs $1.00 per gallon more than anywhere else in the U.S.

11. Unlike back home, the guy at 8:30 am at Starbucks wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses who looks like George Clooney really IS George Clooney.

12. Your car insurance costs as much as your house payment.

13. You can't remember . . is pot illegal?

14. It's barely sprinkling rain and there's a report on every news station: "STORM WATCH.."

15. You pass an elementary school playground and the children are all busy with their cells or pagers.

16. It's barely sprinkling rain outside, so you leave for work an hour early to avoid all the weather-related accidents.

17. HEY!!!! Is pot illegal????

18... Both you AND your dog have therapists, psychics, personal trainers and cosmetic surgeons.

19.. The Terminator is your governor.

20. If you drive illegally, they take your driver's license. If you're here illegally, they want to give you one.

Apology To My Seagoing Bretheren

In the past I have made references to Obama ans Congress "spending like drunken sailors". It seems that some retired Swabbies have taken offense to this reverence, and I have to admit that they make a valid point:

All Hands hear this!
From: Retired U.S Navy Personnel

To: The American Public

We in retirement take exception to everyone saying that Bernanke, Obama, Reid and Pelosi are spending like drunken sailors.

Not True.

When we were drunken sailors, we quit when we ran out of money.

I extend my heartfelt apology for equating the two stereotypes together.

MSNBC Poll

How safe do you feel knowing there are people around legally carrying concealed guns?

That was the question posed in an MSNBC opinion poll the other day. The three choice of responses were "very safe", "In danger", and "Not sure".

MSNBC's liberal slant I'm sure they were surprised by the overwhelming response in the positive toward Concealed Carry Permits

The results so far:

80.7%
Very safe: If a crime is committed or a threat of violence made, they’ve got the means to respond.
(61,477 votes)

16.1%
In danger: These people could be trigger-happy yahoos or stumblebums whose weapon might go off by accident.
(12,247 votes)

.3%
Not sure: How would we know? Wouldn’t it depend on the state laws involved and circumstances?
(2,481 votes)

In looking through the comments section of the poll, it seems to me that most of the arguments made by the "In Danger" segment of the respondents boils down to " I am afraid of the possibility of having to defend myself from a violent crime, and I'm even MORE afraid of those people that ARE willing to do so".

Your thoughts?

The Lonely Princess

Once upon a time there lived a king. The king had a beautiful daughter, the PRINCESS.

But there was a problem. Everything the princess touched would melt.

No matter what; metal, wood, stone, anything she touched would melt.

Because of this, men were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her.

The king despaired. What could he do to help his daughter?

He consulted his wizards and magicians. One wizard told the king, "If your daughter touches one thing that does not melt in her hands, she will be cured."

The king was overjoyed and came up with a plan.

The next day, he held a competition. Any man that could bring his daughter an object that would not melt would marry her and inherit the king's wealth.

THREE YOUNG PRINCES TOOK UP THE CHALLENGE.

The first brought a sword of the finest steel.

But alas, when the princess touched it, it melted.

The prince went away sadly.

The second prince brought diamonds.

He thought diamonds are the hardest substance in the world and would not melt.
But alas, once the princess touched them, they melted.

He too was sent away disappointed.

The third prince approached.
He told the princess, "Put your hand in my pocket and feel what is in there."

The princess did as she was told, though she turned red.

She felt something hard. She held it in her hand.

And it did not melt!!!

The king was overjoyed. Everybody in the kingdom was overjoyed.
And the third prince married the princess and they both lived happily ever after.

Question: What was in the prince's pants?
(Scroll down for the answer)

M&M's of course.

They melt in your mouth, not in your hand.

What were you thinking??

YOU PERVERT.

The Patriot Declaration

234 years ago a small band of Patriots had had enough of a government that trod on the basic liberties that they considered their God given right. They started as a small group and made their discontent known via a declaration of the basic Principles they were willing to fight for.

Alas, it has come time once again for Patriots to follow their Forefathers example and to make a statement for what they believe in and to restore those basic Principles.

Yes, as yet, it is a small group willing to do so, but the movement for Restoration has to start somewhere.

Are YOU willing to join that cause ?

HERE is where you can take that first small step towards restoring our Nation to the Principles it was founded on.

I hope and pray that enough of our Citizens will join us so as to become an unstoppable groundswell to retake our Republic peacefully; if not, the only recourse is by force of arms, and that is a scenario that I don't believe anyone wants to see happen.

Quotes of the Day

"I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents... If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the General Welfare, the Government is no longer a limited one, possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one... The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. ... There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." --James Madison, author of our Constitution

"[T]he States can best govern our home concerns and the general government our foreign ones. I wish, therefore ... never to see all offices transferred to Washington, where, further withdrawn from the eyes of the people, they may more secretly be bought and sold at market. ... [W]hen all government ... shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another. ... Were we directed from Washington when to sow, and when to reap, we should soon want bread." -- Thomas Jefferson

I fear these two gentlemen must be spinning like turbines in their graves, observing the gradual corrosion of our States rights and the accumulation of power taken unto itself by the Federal government.

Another Ignored Right

I received this tongue-in-cheek proposal today in my e-mail...If you look at it from a Constitutional point of view, it makes a lot more sense than forcing Citizens to buy a product from a private company by force of law....at least the product involved is a right acknowledged IN the Constitution !

The shocking truth about a fundamental right being denied to 55% of citizens

M Allen Fritsch

There is a fundamental right being denied 55% of all Americans. This denial costs over 16,000 lives per year, meaning more than 44 of our fellow Americans will die every day that we delay. What should be done in light of these shocking figures?

Using the example set by President Obama and the Congressional Democrats, there is only one answer: Universal Gun Care for every American. Surely a right outlined in the Bill of Rights (2d Amendment) is just as important as a right NOT found the Constitution (Health Care).

Bonus, it should be easier to implement. After all, gun dealers and manufacturers are ready and willing to help solve the problem. Unlike the evil insurance companies, gun dealers don't want to take your weapon away from you when you most need it. Nor will they deny selling you a weapon simply because you haven't purchased one in the past (i.e. a pre-existing condition).

• Conventional estimates state that 45% of all US households own a firearm. This leaves at least 55% of all Americans "uncovered."
• In 2008 there were 16,272 murders in the USA. How many of those could have been prevented if the victims had been able to protect themselves?

My proposal is a modest one:

• Mandate for every American to purchase a gun or be provided one by their employer (children under the age of 26 can share a weapon with their parents)
• Tax credits to offset the cost of purchase (for those making less than $250,000 per year and everyone in Nebraska)
• For those that can't afford it, a grant or subsidy to purchase a weapon (union members can get two weapons subsidized before 2018)
• Funding for a series of community based gun dealers/clinics and firing ranges (especially in under-served urban and rural areas)
• Monthly ammunition benefit so that no one has to choose between feeding their kids, paying the rent, or buying a box of .38 special cartridges

Contact your representative today. The time to act is now.

M Allen Fritsch is an entrepreneur and business owner. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and a former Army officer. His household is one of the 45%.

The Day the Republic Died

I just got back from a PGR funeral mission for an American hero. The details are not important, he was a hero just by the fact that he was a veteran that served this nation well in time of war.

Upon my return to the keyboard I found out that our so-called Representatives took a vote that shredded our Constitution into a meaningless pile of scrap paper.

Thus today I find that I'm in mourning not just for a fellow veteran, but for the Republic he was willing to fight,kill, and die for.

R.I.P. The American Republic July 4, 1776 to March 19, 2010

All hail the birth of the American Oligarchy, for with that vote our Representatives have abrogated their responsibilities and their Oaths of office.

With that act, They have told We the People that they can pass any law they wish regardless of the wishes of The People.

"Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience." --John Locke

We no longer have a legitimate government we can look to.

"Break their windows!

It's time for the sheepdogs to gather and see if they can resurrect our fallen country that we hold so dear...I hope I see you standing next to me in the battles to come; if not, pray I don't have my sights on you, for I will have no hesitation in firing, and I pray I haven't lost my marksmanship abilities.

VETERANS:

Remember Your Oaths!

Quote of the Day

"[G]iving [Congress] a distinct and independent power to do any act they please which may be good for the Union, would render all the preceding and subsequent enumerations of power completely useless. It would reduce the whole [Constitution] to a single phrase, that of instituting a Congress with power to do whatever would be for the good of the United States; and as sole judges of the good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they please. Certainly, no such universal power was meant to be given them." --Thomas Jefferson (emp. mine)

Too bad Obama, Pelosi, and Reid haven't read their American history. They seem to look at the Constitution as a hinderence rather than as the basic outline of our form of government

Warning Bell From the Past

LC Rurik sent me THIS LINK.

I can remember back in the 60's & 70's that a great many people thought of the John Birch Society as a bunch of retrograde kooks that saw Communists under every rock.

But listen to Mr. Walsh and tell me that he wasn't prescient.

EVERY warning that he gave us as early as 1958 and again in 1974 has come to pass.

I believe that he outlined a good road-map for us to follow if we want to regain our Republic. We need to act soon, or it will be too late, and I can only pray that our posterity won't have to curse us for our failure to so.

A Little Humor

THE HORTH WHITHPERER

A guy calls his buddy, the horse rancher, and says he's sending a friend over to look at a horse.

His buddy asks, 'How will I recognize him?'

'That's easy; he's a dwarf with a speech impediment.'

So, the dwarf shows up, and the guy asks him if he's looking for a male or female horse.

'A female horth.'

So he shows him a prized filly...

'Nith lookin horth. Can I thee her eyeth?'

So the guy picks up the dwarf and he gives the horse's eyes the once over.

'Nith eyeth, can I thee her earzth?'

So he picks the little fella up again, and shows him the horse's ears.

'Nith earzth, can I thee her mouf?'

The rancher is getting pretty ticked off by this point, but he picks him up again and shows him the horse's mouth.

'Nice mouf, can I see her twat?'

Totally mad at this point, the rancher grabs him under his arms and rams the dwarf's head up the horse's fanny, pulls him out and slams him on the ground.

The midget gets up, sputtering and coughing.

'Perhapth I should rephrase that. Can I thee her wun awound a widdlebit?'

NOTES FROM THE REFRIGERATOR

My Dear Wife,
You will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being 54
years old, can no longer satisfy. I am very happy with you and I value
you as a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter, I hope that you
will not wrongly interpret the fact that I will be spending the evening
with my 18 year old secretary at the Comfort Inn Hotel. Please don't be
upset----I shall be home before midnight.

When the man came home late that night, he found the following letter on the
dining room table:

My Dear Husband,
I received your letter and thank you for your honesty
about my being 54 years old. I would like to take this opportunity to
remind you that you are also 54 years old. As you know, I am a math
teacher at our local college. I would like to inform you that while you
read this, I will be at the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, one of my
students, who is also the assistant tennis coach. He is young, virile,
and like your secretary, is 18 years old.

As a successful businessman who has an excellent knowledge of math, you
will understand that we are in the same situation, although with one small
difference - 18 goes into 54 a lot more times than 54 goes into 18.
Therefore, I will not be home until sometime tomorrow.

SHORT STORIES BY MEN

ONE

When I was a kid, I used to pray every night for a

So I stole a bike and asked Him to forgive me.

TWO

I went to an extremely attractive female doctor today
for my annual checkup. She told me that I had
to quit masturbating.

I asked why and she said, "Because I'm trying to examine
you."

THREE

I was walking down the road and
saw my Afghanistan neighbor Abdul
standing on his fifth floor apartment balcony shaking a
carpet. I shouted up to him,

"What's wrong, Abdul? Won't it start?"

THE TALKING DOG

A guy is driving around the back woods of Montana and he sees a sign in
front of a broken down shanty-style house:
'Talking Dog For Sale '
He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in
the backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador
retriever sitting there.

'You talk?' he asks.

'Yep,' the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk,
he says 'So, what's your story?'
The Lab looks up and says,
'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA. In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders,
because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping.'

'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running. But the
jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and
listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of
medals.' 'I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired.'

The guy is amazed.
He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

'Ten dollars,' the guy says.

'Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him
so cheap?'

'Because he's a liar. He never did any of that shit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope that maybe these jokes brought a smile to your face and a little joy into your heart. Have a great Sunday and try not to worry too much about Monday.
Secret Code
After a President has been in office for one year it is customary for the last President to send a note of congratulations to the new one.
So yesterday when the note came from Bush to Obama, the President was
somewhat troubled because it was written in code and all it said was:
370H-SSV-0773H
This troubled him as he had always heard from his peers how former
president Bush was perceived to have been scholarly challenged.
So he took the note to his wife. She was unable to decipher it.
They called in the VP, and he was unable to decode the message.
They called in the chief of staff and the head of Secret Service
detail and they were unable to determine the meaning of the note.
Next he called in the head of the Senate and Speaker of the House.
They both were mystified by the meaning of the coded message.
Now there was complete panic in the Oval Office.
They called all of their contacts in the media and sent copies of the
note to all of them, and not one was able to come up with an answer.
A special emergency meeting was called by the staff.
All branches of the military, counter intelligence, CIA, FBI were
called in, and the best minds were unable crack the code.
After a sleepless night, a now humbled President Obama picked up the
phone and called the former president, and asked him the meaning of
the note.
George Bush chuckled and replied:
'Bud ..... you're holding it upside down!'
"In my entire career, I have never been as confounded as I am over President Obama and the Democratic leadership's obsession with a piece of legislation that not one major national poll has shown to be popular. ... So I have to ask, why are the president and the leaders of Congress willing to see their entire party and a multitude of other policy proposals go down in flames over something that the public can't stand? ... Folks, this is nothing more than a power grab. It's an effort to take one of the most essential elements of every person's life -- their health -- and put it under the control of government." --columnist Matt Towery
Catholic Wisdom
A 98-year-old Mother Superior from Ireland was dying. The nuns
gathered around her bed trying to make her last journey
comfortable. They tried giving her some warm milk to drink but she
refused it.
One of the nuns took the glass back to the kitchen and
remembering a bottle of Irish Whiskey received as a gift the
previous Christmas, she opened it and poured a generous amount into
the warm milk.
Back at Mother Superior's bed, she held the glass to her
lips. Mother drank a little, then a little more and before they
knew it, she had drank the whole glass down to the last drop.
"Mother," the nuns asked with earnest, "please give us some
wisdom before you die."
She raised herself up in bed and said, "Don't sell that cow."
The Tight Skirt
In a crowded city at a busy bus stop, a beautiful young woman wearing a
tight mini skirt was waiting for a bus..
As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, she became aware
that her skirt was too tight to allow her leg to come up to the
height of the first step of the bus.
Slightly embarrassed and with a quick smile to the bus driver,
she reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little, thinking that
this would give her enough slack to raise her leg.
She tried to take the step, only to discover that she couldn't.
So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to
unzip her skirt a little more, and for the second time attempted the
step.
Once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg.
With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip
a little more and again was unable to take the step.
About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked
her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus.
She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, "How
dare you touch my body! I don't even know who you are!"
The Texan smiled and drawled, "Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with
you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we
was friends."
Geert Wilders’ Speech in the House of Lords
Anyone who believes in the American ideal of individual freedom should read this speech and take heed. We are in a cultural war, and we are currently losing that war. There is still a small amount of time to turn the tide, but only if we wake up to the fact that Islam IS an enemy to everything we in the West hold dear and true.
by Baron Bodissey
Below is the text of the speech given by Geert Wilders today in the House of Lords. Many thanks to the PVV for sending it:
Speech House of Lords, London, Friday the 5th of March 2010
Thank you. It is great to be back in London. And it is great that this time, I got to see more of this wonderful city than just the detention centre at Heathrow Airport.
Today I stand before you, in this extraordinary place. Indeed, this is a sacred place. This is, as Malcolm always says, the mother of all Parliaments, I am deeply humbled to have the opportunity to speak before you.
Thank you Lord Pearson and Lady Cox for your invitation and showing my film Fitna. Thank you my friends for inviting me.
I first have great news. Last Wednesday city council elections were held in the Netherlands. And for the first time my party, the Freedom Party, took part in these local elections. We participated in two cities. In Almere, one of the largest Dutch cities. And in The Hague, the third largest city; home of the government, the parliament and the queen. And, we did great! In one fell swoop my party became the largest party in Almere and the second largest party in The Hague. Great news for the Freedom Party and even better news for the people of these two beautiful cities.
And I have more good news. Two weeks ago the Dutch government collapsed. In June we will have parliamentary elections. And the future for the Freedom Party looks great. According to some polls we will become the largest party in the Netherlands. I want to be modest, but who knows, I might even be Prime Minister in a few months time!
Ladies and gentlemen, not far from here stands a statue of the greatest Prime Minister your country ever had. And I would like to quote him here today: “Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. No stronger retrograde force exists in the World. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step (…) the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.” These words are from none other than Winston Churchill wrote this in his book ‘The River War’ from 1899.
Churchill was right.
Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t have a problem and my party does not have a problem with Muslims as such. There are many moderate Muslims. The majority of Muslims are law-abiding citizens and want to live a peaceful life as you and I do. I know that. That is why I always make a clear distinction between the people, the Muslims, and the ideology, between Islam and Muslims. There are many moderate Muslims, but there is no such thing as a moderate Islam.
- - - - - - - - -
Islam strives for world domination. The Quran commands Muslims to exercise jihad. The Quran commands Muslims to establish shariah law. The Quran commands Muslims to impose Islam on the entire world.
As former Turkish Prime Minister Erbakan said: “The whole of Europe will become Islamic. We will conquer Rome”. End of quote.
Libyan dictator Gaddafi said: “There are tens of millions of Muslims in the European continent today and their number is on the increase. This is the clear indication that the European continent will be converted into Islam. Europe will one day soon be a Muslim continent”. End of quote. Indeed, for once in his life, Gaddafi was telling the truth. Because, remember: mass immigration and demographics is destiny!
Islam is merely not a religion, it is mainly a totalitarian ideology. Islam wants to dominate all aspects of life, from the cradle to the grave. Shariah law is a law that controls every detail of life in a Islamic society. >From civic- and family law to criminal law. It determines how one should eat, dress and even use the toilet. Oppression of women is good, drinking alcohol is bad.
I believe that Islam is not compatible with our Western way of life. Islam is a threat to Western values. The equality of men and women, the equality of homosexuals and heterosexuals, the separation of church and state, freedom of speech, they are all under pressure because of islamization. Ladies and gentlemen: Islam and freedom, Islam and democracy are not compatible. It are opposite values.
No wonder that Winston Churchill called Adolf Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’ “the new Quran of faith and war, turgid, verbose, shapeless, bur pregnant with its message”. As you know, Churchill made this comparison, between the Koran and Mein Kampf, in his book ‘The Second World War’, a master piece, for which, he received the Nobel Prize in Literature. Churchill’s comparison of the Quran and ‘Mein Kampf’ is absolutely spot on. The core of the Quran is the call to jihad. Jihad means a lot of things and is Arabic for battle. Kampf is German for battle. Jihad and kampf mean exactly the same.
Islam means submission, there cannot be any mistake about its goal. That’s a given. The question is whether we in Europe and you in Britain, with your glorious past, will submit or stand firm for your heritage.
We see Islam taking off in the West at an incredible pace. Europe is Islamizing rapidly. A lot of European cities have enormous Islamic concentrations. Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Berlin are just a few examples. In some parts of these cities, Islamic regulations are already being enforced. Women’s rights are being destroyed. Burqa’s, headscarves, polygamy, female genital mutilation, honour-killings. Women have to go to separate swimming-classes, don’t get a handshake. In many European cities there is already apartheid. Jews, in an increasing number, are leaving Europe.
As you undoubtedly all know, better then I do, also in your country the mass immigration and islamization has rapidly increased. This has put an enormous pressure on your British society. Look what is happening in for example Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford and here in London. British politicians who have forgotten about Winston Churchill have now taken the path of least resistance. They have given up. They have given in.
Last year, my party has requested the Dutch government to make a cost-benefit analysis of the mass immigration. But the government refused to give us an answer. Why? Because it is afraid of the truth. The signs are not good. A Dutch weekly magazine - Elsevier - calculated costs to exceed 200 billion Euros. Last year alone, they came with an amount of 13 billion Euros. More calculations have been made in Europe: According to the Danish national bank, every Danish immigrant from an Islamic country is costing the Danish state more than 300 thousand Euros. You see the same in Norway and France. The conclusion that can be drawn from this: Europe is getting more impoverished by the day. More impoverished thanks to mass immigration. More impoverished thanks to demographics. And the leftists are thrilled.
I don’t know whether it is true, but in several British newspapers I read that Labour opened the door to mass immigration in a deliberate policy to change the social structures of the UK. Andrew Neather, a former government advisor and speech writer for Tony Blair and Jack Straw, said the aim of Labour’s immigration strategy was, and I quote, to “rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date”. If this is true, this is symptomatic of the Left.
Ladies and gentlemen, make no mistake: The left is facilitating islamization. Leftists, liberals, are cheering for every new shariah bank being created, for every new shariah mortgage, for every new islamic school, for every new shariah court. Leftists consider Islam as being equal to our own culture. Shariah law or democracy? Islam or freedom? It doesn’t really matter to them. But it does matter to us. The entire leftist elite is guilty of practising cultural relativism. Universities, churches, trade unions, the media, politicians. They are all betraying our hard-won liberties.
Why I ask myself, why have the Leftists and liberals stopped to fight for them? Once the Leftists stood on the barricades for women’s rights. But where are they today? Where are they in 2010? They are looking the other way. Because they are addicted to cultural relativism and dependent on the Muslim vote. They are dependent on mass-immigration.
Thank heavens Jacqui Smith isn’t in office anymore. It was a victory for free speech that a UK judge brushed aside her decision to refuse me entry to your country last year. I hope that the judges in my home country are at least as wise and will acquit me of all charges, later this year in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately, so far they have not done so well. For they do not want to hear the truth about Islam, nor are they interested to hear the opinion of top class legal experts in the field of freedom of expression. Last month in a preliminary session the Court refused fifteen of the eighteen expert-witnesses I had requested to be summoned.
Only three expert witnesses are allowed to be heard. Fortunately, my dear friend and heroic American psychiatrist dr. Wafa Sultan is one of them. But their testimony will be heard behind closed doors. Apparently the truth about Islam must not be told in public, the truth about Islam must remain secret.
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m being prosecuted for my political beliefs. We know political prosecution to exist in countries in the Middle East, like Iran and Saudi-Arabia, but never in Europe, never in the Netherlands.
I’m being prosecuted for comparing the Quran to ‘Mein Kampf’. Ridiculous. I wonder if Britain will ever put the beliefs of Winston Churchill on trial… Ladies and gentlemen, the political trial that is held against me has to stop.
But it is not all about me, not about Geert Wilders. Free speech is under attack. Let me give you a few other examples. As you perhaps know, one of my heroes, the Italian author Oriana Fallaci had to live in fear of extradition to Switzerland because of her anti-Islam book ‘The Rage and the Pride’. The Dutch cartoonist Nekschot was arrested in his home in Amsterdam by 10 police men because of his anti-Islam drawings. Here in Britain, the American author Rachel Ehrenfeld was sued by a Saudi businessman for defamation. In the Netherlands Ayaan Hirsi Ali and in Australia two Christian pastors were sued. I could go on and on. Ladies and gentlemen, all throughout the West freedom loving people are facing this ongoing ‘legal jihad’. This is Islamic ‘lawfare’. And, ladies and gentlemen, not long ago the Danish cartoonist Westergaard was almost assassinated for his cartoons.
Ladies and gentlemen, we should defend the right to freedom of speech. With all our strength. With all our might. Free speech is the most important of our many liberties. Free speech is the cornerstone of our modern societies. Freedom of speech is the breath of our democracy, without freedom of speech our way of life our freedom will be gone.
I believe it is our obligation to preserve the inheritance of the brave young soldiers that stormed the beaches of Normandy. That liberated Europe from tyranny. These heroes cannot have died for nothing. It is our obligation to defend freedom of speech. As George Orwell said: “If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear”.
Ladies and gentlemen, I believe in another policy, it is time for change. We must make haste. We can’t wait any longer. Time is running out. If I may quote one of my favourite American presidents: Ronald Reagan once said: “We need to act today, to preserve tomorrow”. That is why I propose the following measures, I only mention a few, in order to preserve our freedom:
First, we will have to defend freedom of speech. It is the most important of our liberties. In Europe and certainly in the Netherlands, we need something like the American First Amendment.
Second, we will have to end and get rid of cultural relativism. To the cultural relativists, the shariah socialists, I proudly say: Our Western culture is far superior to the Islamic culture. Don’t be affraid to say it. You are not a racist when you say that our own culture is better.
Third, we will have to stop mass immigration from Islamic countries. Because more Islam means less freedom.
Fourth, we will have to expel criminal immigrants and, following denaturalisation, we will have to expel criminals with a dual nationality. And there are many of them in my country.
Fifth, we will have to forbid the construction of new mosques. There is enough Islam in Europe. Especially since Christians in Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Indonesia are mistreated, there should be a mosque building-stop in the West.
And last but not least, we will have to get rid of all those so-called leaders. I said it before: Fewer Chamberlains, more Churchills. Let’s elect real leaders.
Ladies and gentlemen. To the previous generation, that of my parents, the word ‘London’ is synonymous with hope and freedom. When my country was occupied by the national-socialists the BBC offered a daily glimpse of hope in my country, in the darkness of Nazi tyranny. Millions of my fellow country men listened to it, underground. The words ‘This is London’ were a symbol for a better world coming soon.
What will be broadcasted forty years from now? Will it still be “This is London”? Or will it be “This is Londonistan”? Will it bring us hope? Or will it signal the values of Mecca and Medina? Will Britain offer submission or perseverance? Freedom or slavery? The choice is yours. And in the Netherlands the choice is ours.
Ladies and gentlemen, we will never apologize for being free. We will and should never give in. And, indeed, as one of your former leaders said: We will never surrender.
Freedom must prevail, and freedom will prevail.
Thank you very much.
Quote of the Day
'All governments suffer a recurring problem: Power attracts pathological personalities. It is not that power corrupts but that it is magnetic to the corruptible.' – Frank Herbert
The Founders knew this truism, that's why they tried to install a government of "ordinary" citizens that would serve a term or two in Congress and then return to their "civilian" life.
It worked well for over a hundred and fifty years, but then the general populace got lazy and allowed a political class to form and slowly take over the reins of power. We now have an elite political class that has overstepped the boundaries placed upon them in the Constitution, all "for the good of the people", of course. It's hard to be self-reliant; it's far easier to let the government care for us.
It is up to us to return to the Founders vision and do our best to return to the idea of Everyman as a TEMPORARY politician. WE need to take back the responsibilities of being free individuals. WE need to enforce the limits imposed by the Constitution upon the politicians or we will soon become Subjects rather than Citizens.
We have strayed into laziness and inattention to the political zeitgeist, it's true, but We are a tough people, and we CAN take back our birthright of freedom and individual responsibility. We merely have to show the will to do so.
Quote of the Day
"If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people, under the pretense of taking care of them, they must become happy." --Thomas Jefferson
Obama talks about "a fair redistribution of wealth" in the name of "social justice", but in fact, governmental redistribution of anything is theft, pure and simple.
Clunkers
Your tax dollars at work..
A 15 mpg clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year uses 800
gallons of gas a year.
A 25 mpg vehicle that travels 12,000 miles a year uses 480
gallons a year.
So, the average Cash for Clunkers transaction will reduce
US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.
They claim 700,000 clunkers were turned-in, so that's 224
million gallons saved per year..
That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.
5 million barrels is about 5 hours worth of US consumption.
More importantly, 5 million barrels of oil at $70 per
barrel costs about $350 million dollars
So, the government paid $3 billion of our tax dollars to
save $350 million.
We spent $8.57 for every dollar we saved.
I'm pretty sure they will do a great job with our health care, though.
Quote of the Day
"The ultimate authority ... resides in the people alone. ... The advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation ... forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition." --James Madison
Whenever you hear a GFW from the Brady bunch declare that our founders never meant for the average man to be armed, or that the 2nd Amendment only refers to a militia, remember the above quote and remember that our Founders did NOT trust any government, even one of there own devising, from becoming tyrannical.
The Bill of Rights was enumerated to ensure against encroachment on our inherent rights. Read in context, the Bill of Rights is both an affirmation of innate individual rights (as noted by Thomas Jefferson: "The God who gave us life gave us liberty at the same time..."), and a clear delineation of constraints upon the central government.
Note that the Second Amendment is unique in the Bill of Rights in that it expressly asserts the "right to keep and bear arms" is "necessary," more so than just important, to a "free state."
Green is not necessarily better
every day we hear about how we should "go green" and try to switch to the use of more bio-fuels to "help save the planet". It's a noble cause, but it seems that the "science" used by the Greens, as usual, fails to live up to the end goal in the real world.
Bio-fuels may actually be contributing to the problem.
Here in the U.S. there has been a great push towards using more and more ethanol fuel. The Greens say it will help lower greenhouse gasses and extend the life of oil reserves. Sounds great in theory, but in practice it DOESN'T WORK. The practice has made the price of corn go up exponentialy, raising food prices ever upwards. Ethanol is less energy dense than regular gasoline, forcing the user to burn more fuel for the same amount of work. In the end, while ethanol does burn cleaner, the extra amount burned means the end amount of pollution produced will be the same, or can actually be higher in some components. You have to factor in the pollution caused in the farming of bio-fuels to have a true comparison of use/pollution ratios.
The problem with all of the alternative energy sources, with the exception of nuclear power generation, are less efficient/more costly/less reliable than fossil fuels. But trying to get a nuclear power station built is nearly impossible with the anti-nuclear activists blocking that path at every turn.
The greens espouse electric vehicles as being the best way to go, but they always forget that you need to generate that electricity first. They also don't talk about the horrendous wastes generated in making the batteries for those vehicles, and the wastes of batteries past their useful prime.
I believe that hydrogen fuel cells are the way to go, but research and development in that area is pushed to the side in favor of the pet fuels du juor of the Green movement. As in everything, you need to follow the money and see where it leads...right now it's leading to a path of ruin.
Quote of the Day
"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again. Knowing this, it is hard to explain those who even today would question the people's capacity for self-rule. Will they answer this: if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else?" --Ronald Reagan
